Job Description


The person with this job is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive program for members of Club.  The goal of the program is for lead generation, name recognition, and long term relationships with future residents and referrals.


•        Works cooperatively with the Regional Marketing Director to recruit and market programs to those outside in the community to participate in Ascension Living Wellness Club. 

•        Researches community resources and events for resident programming and maintains relations with community agencies and organizations serving Seniors.

•        Coordinate events and entertainment for Club Members.

•        Complete monthly article for community publications and calendar of events.

•        Organize transportation as needed for field trips.

•        Responsible for A/P functions including but not limited to: attaining applicable signatures and coding from department heads, organizing and scanning invoices to off-site accounting department to ensure prompt payment.

•        Liaison between Ascension Living communities and Business Partners of Ascension Living Wellness Club.

•        Coordinates Club events in collaboration with the Social Coordinator.

•        Primary individual for organization, responsibility, and oversight for: The Lounge, Village Market, and Ascension Living Wellness Club.

•        Promotes, operates, and staffs the Lounge and The Village Market.

•        Purchases necessary supplies for the Lounge and Market.

•        Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


•        High School graduate required. 

•        Bachelor’s degree in social work or sociology or hospitality or similar field preferred. 

•        Experience in bartending or retail environment preferred.

•        Prior experience working in a hospitality environment.

•         City of Milwaukee Bartending License preferred; or ability to obtain.

•        Experience in a health setting is preferred.

  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

•        Frequently able to use all types of vision, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, to complete daily tasks.

Ascension Living – Manager, 


 Position is Category III of Potential Exposure, which includes tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and Category I tasks (expected exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues) are not a condition of employment.  OSHA Blood borne Pathogen Standard 1910.1030(c)(2)(i) more specifically defines Category III Potential Exposure as: Normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.  Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care, first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Work is generally performed in an indoor, well-lighted, well-ventilated, heated and air-conditioned environment.
