Job Description

Position Summary



Supervises the overall operation of the Facilities (Plant Operations, and Environmental Services) Departments at all Ascension Living campuses/facilities to ensure that the buildings, grounds and mechanicals are well maintained, safe and secure.





The position will develop the operational strategy to ensure AL facilities are maintained in a safe, comfortable, and visually pleasing condition.  This position holds primary responsibility for assuring that the quality of all Facility Services provided to AL sites are delivered in the highest quality manner possible.  The Facilities Regional Director is also responsible for all regulatory and accreditation compliance requirements related to the buildings, systems, and various codes.





PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Assures the overall physical and environmental upkeep of buildings, equipment and mechanical systems at multiple campuses/facilities



  • Provide leadership, supervision and positive support to all Plant Operations and Environmental Services (Facilities) Directors and staff to ensure quality services are provided by a competent leadership and staff



  • Ensure vendors are providing fair pricing and the quality of goods meet AL standards



  • Coordinate with site Plant Operations Directors to expedite work with contractors for all projects to ensure quality of craftsmanship, timely completions and competitive overall costs



  • Work closely with all facility leaders to ensure facility is being maintained and needs are being met



  • Manage multiple facilities budgets and be fiscally responsible for all Plant Operations and Environmental services (Facilities) costs



  • Work with all local, state and federal inspectors to ensure all facilities are compliant and in good standing



  • Understand all emergency policies and procedures and appropriate responses to all emergency situations



Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience





  • Minimum experience of 5 years in a Plant Operations (Facilities) supervisory and management role in a health care environment. Experience with multi-disciplinary staff in a continuum of care setting is essential.
