Job Description

Summary Responsible for planning and implementing enrichment events and activities for residents and/or participants.  This position will be located at Alexian Village of Milwaukee. Responsibilities

  • Conducts activity programs providing physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities and challenges for residents/participants.
  • Develops and/or implements plan of care in relation to activities as appropriate to the level of living.
  • Provides transportation and supervision for trips and outside activities.
  • Plans and implements programs for special events, celebrations and holidays.
  • Promotes enthusiasm for programs and encourages residents to attend and participate.
  • Designs events that meet the interests of the residents.
  • Participates and assists in marketing the community to prospective residents.
  • Assists in the development and distribution of newsletters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a senior care environment.
  • Minimum of two years unencumbered driving record required, preferably with an older adult, physically challenged population.
  • Required for LTC, Preferred for Assisted Living - Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state which employed.
  • CPR Certification preferred for Assisted Living; required for LTC upon hire, or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Must have a current, unrestricted driver’s license in the state which employed.

  • Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to create a high-performance, effective team that can produce consistent, demonstrated results.
  • Must demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and community leadership.
  • Competencies needed for this position include strong interpersonal relationship skills, detail oriented, work in collaboration with others, demonstrate a high degree of integrity and personal commitment, possess strong analytical skills, be able to work independently and manage multiple deliverables at the same time.
  • Ability to function in a matrix environment and demonstrate a passion to succeed be self-motivated, dependable, committed, and a willingness to see a project through to its conclusion.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
